Dede has traveled extensively throughout the US and abroad to work with towns, municipalities and private ventures on their Urban Design and Master Planning efforts. After receiving her Bachelor and Master of Architecture degrees, Dede interned with Dan Harmon and associates, an award winning Architectural Illustration firm, for 4.5 years.
In 1989, she established her own firm, Christopher Illustration. Her company has served clients throughout the United States and abroad and her work has been published in many periodicals, books and educational texts in the fields of Architecture and Urban Design.
Dede has attended over 100 design charrettes as an illustrator and designer since 1997. In 2017 she joined the Urban Collaborative as a Senior Associate and continues to travel and work closely with clients to capture the unique vision and quality of each individual project.

Dede Christopher has over 30 years working in art and illustration. Thoughout her time designing, she has created masterpieces in architectural illustration and fine art.
Dede Christopher received a Bachelors degree of Architecture from Clemson University in 1984 and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Tennessee in 1996 where she focused on architecture and urban design. Throughout her career Dede has worked as a designer, intern architect, and architectural illustrator in several prominent architectural firms. In 1989 she established her firm, Christopher Illustration. Her company has served many clients throughout the United States and abroad, and her work has been published in numerous periodicals, books and educational texts. Dede serves as chair of the Board of Zoning Appeals and is a member of the Maryville Downtown Association in Maryville, TN and has been a member of the Congress of the New Urbanism since 2002. She is also a member of the Knoxville Watercolor Society and displays fine art in the Art Market Gallery, Knoxville.
